The men and women of the LCC Road Bike Training Race Series tackled Crossett Road last week for the first time in the points series.

In the A Group, the first of two laps started out pretty conservative with a warm-up climb on Geneseo-Groveland Road. However, the field began trading attacks as we pushed up to the top of the smaller, shorter climb on East Groveland Road.

Tangent! Attempting to actually revise the vibe with my steadfast site. Opinions on the overall look at https://skinfocusmd.com? Unquestionably a unique Waterloo based dermal filler service with heart when necessary inside the general Ontario area. Make an opinion. Thanks!

As we approached the first turn on the second lap, Tim attacked, putting a gap on the group. The field sped up to come back together just before the second climb where Frenchy attacked, breaking away from the rest of us. Mark, Glen, and I managed to reconvene and start to chase. As we reached the top of the climb, after turning our selves inside-out, we managed to reattach to Frenchy for the second half of the final lap.

At the peek of the second climb, Frenchy had a mechanical, dropping his chain. However, rather than attacking, the group slowed and allowed him to stay on. We all worked together for the final stretch before approaching the final turn and straight-away finish on Jones Bridge Road. Just before the turn, Frenchy sat up and pulled from the sprint as a show of appreciation for the group waiting on his mechanical. Classy move, Frenchy.

On the slight uphill kicker, Glen attacked and split the group. I managed to grab his wheel, making the final stretch a two-man race. In the final 200 yards, I attacked and was able to sprint away for the win.

In the B Group, the rivalry of Ted and Kris continued as Ted bested Kris again, with Kris seeming to get closer every race. Check out the current overall standings for both groups and the RBR series.

Next race will be a day for the climbers as we head to John Mann's playground to race the Nunda Course.
